Principal's Message

I have proudly served the Canon-McMillan School District for more than 25 years. I began my career as a substitute teacher before spending nearly two decades teaching middle school social studies and civics. After serving as a Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Canon-McMillan Middle School, I am honored to join North Strabane Intermediate School as Principal. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about building relationships with students, supporting teachers, and helping every child reach their full potential.

My vision for North Strabane Intermediate School is to create a school where every student feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn. The intermediate years are an exciting time of growth, and we are committed to helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally while fostering curiosity, responsibility, and confidence. By working together with families and our dedicated staff, we will prepare students for success in school and beyond.

The culture at NSIS is one of collaboration, kindness, and high expectations. We believe that strong relationships are the foundation of student success, and we strive to ensure every child feels a sense of belonging. Our teachers and staff are committed to providing engaging learning experiences while creating an environment where students are encouraged to take risks, celebrate successes, and learn from challenges.

What I enjoy most about being an educator is the opportunity to make a positive difference in students' lives each day. Whether it's celebrating accomplishments, supporting students through challenges, or partnering with families and staff, I believe education is built on meaningful relationships. I am excited to become part of the North Strabane community and look forward to working together to make NSIS a place where every student thrives.
